In India, a religious leader is trying to provide a way out for female workers in the sex trade. Many of these women feel trapped with no way out because they have AIDS or children. However, this religious leader has called his male followers to marry these prostitutes as an avenue for them to escape.
According to this article, over 1000 men responded positively that they would be willing to do this noble task. I do not feel that I have the background knowledge to give any kind of commentary on this event, but I thought it was worth posting. You can read the full article from the BBC here.
