23.5 weeks

This past week, we found out we have a SON joining our family!  Here's a 23.5 week belly shot from yesterday:

It was so good to see our little guy on the sonogram!  The sage-femme (midwife) who I'm supposed to see for the sonograms has been gone for 3/3 visits now, and it's a male sage-femme/midwife who has replaced her each time.  He's GREAT- I especially love how slowly and thoroughly he shows and explains everything he's checking.  I do feel little weird calling him a sage-femme, because the literal french means something like "wise woman."  I'd have just as much trouble calling a male a midwife.  Midman? Sage-homme? It's a dilemma. 

Anyhow- our son doesn't have a name quite yet, but we've got some time.  We're sure looking forward to meeting our sweet, wiggly boy in a few months!
