crafty

So, I'm a crafty kind of girl. I get this from my mom, who was minoring in art while I was growing up. We made easter trees out of tumble weeds, lots of homemade Christmas ornaments, matching flowery forest green jumpers for me and my mom (see below), crocheted blankets and puppy capes... oh man. Heck, my mom painted a lot of the art in our house, handmade and glazed a lot of our dishes, and even made my dad's 2nd wedding ring (yes, she fired the gold and everything!). I have a really cool mom, I know.

All that to say that today I am feeling very crafty and am having trouble finding an outlet for the crafty. Unfortunately, I kind of got out of the crafty practice during college. This resulted from a lack of supplies and time, which makes me a little sad. I've been working on knitting, but it's kind of hurting my eyes. A couple of weeks ago (on that freak snow day) I even got Collin to go paint an awesome soup mug with me at the Mud Room. We'll see what today's crafty feelings result in.
