a little bit of delicious

Being home means I get to bake again, which is an excellent thing. I love to create with my hands and share my creations. I got this recipe out of Sunset Magazine. A little bit of Autumn. A little bit of delish.

Cranberry Thumbprints
  • Preheat oven to 350 F
  • Put one can of cranberry sauce in the food processor and go at it for about 30 seconds, set aside
  • Beat 1 c. unsalted butter with 3/4 c. brown sugar & 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Mix in 2 1/2 c. flour, 3/4 tsp cinnamon, 3/4 tsp allspice, & a pinch of salt gradually
  • Stir in 3/4 c. pecan chips
  • Form 1 1/2 inch dough balls on cookie sheet, putting a well in the middle of each with your thumb
  • Fill well with cranberry sauce (3/4-1 tsp)
  • Bake until light golden brown, about 12-15 minutes
  • Let cool completely on baking sheet
  • Guard with your life
