Cranberry Thumbprints
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Put one can of cranberry sauce in the food processor and go at it for about 30 seconds, set aside
- Beat 1 c. unsalted butter with 3/4 c. brown sugar & 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Mix in 2 1/2 c. flour, 3/4 tsp cinnamon, 3/4 tsp allspice, & a pinch of salt gradually
- Stir in 3/4 c. pecan chips
- Form 1 1/2 inch dough balls on cookie sheet, putting a well in the middle of each with your thumb
- Fill well with cranberry sauce (3/4-1 tsp)
- Bake until light golden brown, about 12-15 minutes
- Let cool completely on baking sheet
- Guard with your life
